Hello,

I am going to tell you a little bit about me so that you can see I am just your average person.

I am 32 years old and I live on my own in your typical 2 up 2 down end terraced house. I have a mortgage and a full time job. I say I live on my own, but I do have a pussy cat called Radford, so strictly speaking I am not on my own, but you know what I mean.

I work for Thomas Cook in their product department on the Thomas Cook Tours team. I help to develop, maintain and run the general day to day procudures. The geographical areas that I look after are Egypt and the Middle East, China and Japan. You can see the tours that Thomas Cook put together by visiting www.thomascooktours.com.

My hobbies are watching movies, listening to music, real ale, computer gaming and football. My favourite kind of films are sci-fi. My favourite music is indie and rock. Examples of artists that I like are Radiohead, Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Hard Fi, The Music. I support Ipswich Town football club (I know what you are thinking. You don’t need to post a message saying it….LOL).

I am also a regular member of a church where I attend most Sunday morning services. The church I go to is Holy Trinity Church, Orton Longueville, Peterboorugh. The webiste is http://www.holy-trinity-church-orton-longueville.org.uk.

That’s a little backgound about me, but why am I bothering to tell you this on my blog? you might be asking yourself. Well, the chances are that you arrived at my blog, becuase you are interested in making money online, be it either through eBay or internet marketing, or even both; and I just want to illustrate that if your average Joe like me can do it, then anyone can. Trust me this is true. I’m no computer teckey or website design wizard and I now have two website online, and an eBay store.

Thank you for reading.

Hi and welcome to the first post on my blog at www.marcsampson.com.

Why have I decided to build a blog?

Well, let me tell you a little bit about how I got into eBay and internet marketing.

I started by selling some of my unwanted items on eBay. Then one day I was browsing the listings. I can’t remember what I was looking for, but I came across an eBook call ‘The 90 day powerseller challenge’. I had enjoyed selling my unwanted items on eBay (to be quite honest, I got a kick out of it), so I decided to take a closer look. I read the sales page and decided to buy it. It is, as the name suggests, an eBook that will explain how to become an eBay powerseller in 90 days. At the time of writing this post, I am not a powerseller, however I beleive it will not be long before I get invited into the Powerseller program. You can find out more on this eBook by looking under the ’Recommended’ section of this blog.

I read the eBook and got to work by following the easy step by step procedure. This was working really well and was becoming really enthusiastic about it. The auther of the eBook, John Thornhill, then started a membership based website all about selling eBooks on eBay and on your own dedicated website. He included a whole ton of eBooks of his that his members could use to sell and a website to sell them on. I bought this also, and it really all took of from there. Again you can find out more about this product in the ‘Recommended’ section on this blog. I can honestly say, it was the best investment I ever made. At the time I knew nothing about setting up a website, uploading to the web or anything like that. In fact, so much so that I used to deliver the eBooks that I sold using outlook express as an attachment. I can tell you now, this method of delivery soon stopped.

Now that I have an eBay store and a website, I decided to set up a blog for making posts relating to eBay and internet marketing. From here I can also review products I have purchased, and if I think they are good products I will also recommend them. I can also promote my own products and other websites, all from one central place where I can send people……..

……..hence, this blog was born.

That’s all for now, until next time.
